Food Distribution

Soon after the pandemic began rural mountain families were having an increasingly difficult time. Tourism had slowed to a halt. The little incomes most of them had disappeared. Over a period of several months we distributed over 300 large care packages, as well as art supplies for the kids and extra help for those who needed it.

This beyond the endless fruit we continually distribute, helping those in need with supplies, offering hot lunches and often bus fare  to their communities.

Though we did have a very robust and hugely appreciated response for many months, it is impossible to sustain that, nor would we want to. Our focus is creating greatly enhanced food sustainability from within each community.  Rather than a short term bag of supplies. Visit our Model Cultural Project for more information.
